If humans have been domesticated, wouldn’t it better to compare us to other domesticated animals than to zoo animals in captivity?

We fit the description of both.

Plus I think we are somewhere in between fully domesticated and still a bit wild. So I guess, why not both? ^^

"As biology and technology collide, between ancient imperatives and modern conveniences, we find a species at a crucial evolutionary crossroads."

So I have to get up and walk out my own cell door for which I have the key. So full of irony, Alex.

The rate of change clearly multiplying exponentially when we are biologically evolved to change at a glacial pace.

Of course, now the glaciers are going away...

Is there a prescription?

Ah, the irony is almost poetic, isn’t it? 😂

As for the prescription— For me it’s trust. Trust that this rapid pace of change is part of something larger, unfolding exactly as it should. It’s like driving at breakneck speed toward what seems like a wall, with faith that it will disappear just in time.

Although... small caveat: not 100% sure if that plan includes humans specifically. But hey, fingers crossed! 🤞

Exactly Alex. We know right, the thing we call the present is this fertile soup of possibilty and probability. There are varying degrees of interesting possible directions. We have a punchers chance. It's my nature to make camp in that perspective. I will call that trust, at least some of it. Happy holidays man.
